Rainy Day in Wexford

Rainy Day in Wexford

In late February 2026 Ireland had witnessed the wettest January and February on record. I decided to lean into it and try and capture an average wet day in one of my favourite towns in Ireland. As is my way lately I am trying to avoid cliches and photos I might usually take, so I shied away from most of the known landmarks in the town including the famous quays and the on-street train that travels along them. I am not sure any of these photos are worthy of a standalone post, but as a document of a rainy day in Ireland and nothing else I think they work.

Dundalk is a colourful and well maintained town, but if you look in the right places it doesn't take long to find some gritty scenes that lend themselves to a gritty black and white film.
