Belfast City Hall in February

Belfast City Hall in February

These photos were taken on Ilford Type-517. Only my fourth roll of B+W film ever. Type – 517 was the designation given to 400ft bulk reels intended for cine use which Ilford used to manufacture. On the website of the company that sells it says "we recommend home developing and using the development times provided as this is a different base emulsion to the current range of FP4 Plus and labs will not be familiar with this film."

Regardless I sent it to my usual lab and the photos came back grainy and washed out looking (which could be 100% my fault, or the film, or the camera - I know not). I try to avoid editing film, but these needed a good hard whack of black and contrast in Lightroom. I think they were nicely saved and the results look cool.

This is City Hall in Belfast on a rainy February day.
